Letra Original Hot Chocolate is a blend of cocoa, sugar, and non-dairy creamer. In different types of Letra Hot Chocolate, various cocoas are used with different processing methods and roasting levels of cocoa beans. The cocoa fruit has many varieties with different flavors. After processing the cocoa beans and depending on how much they are roasted, the taste of the cocoa beans changes and their color also becomes darker.

In the processing of Letra Dark Hot Chocolate powder, the beans are roasted more, giving the cocoa a darker color and a more bitter taste, closer to the pure cocoa powder flavor. In Letra Original and Premium Hot Chocolate, the beans are roasted less, resulting in a lighter-colored hot chocolate.

The taste of Letra Original Hot Chocolate is similar to milk chocolate, while Premium Hot Chocolate has a nutty flavor compared to other hot chocolates. The difference in the color of hot chocolate powder in different productions is due to the amount of heat and humidity during transportation, storage, production, and the formulation of raw materials. Depending on the type, cocoa powder contains between 10 to 12 percent, and in some cases 12 to 24 percent, cocoa butter.

This amount of fat tends to melt at higher room temperatures, and under such conditions the produced powder becomes darker.
